Colossal Cave Adventure is considered to be the first-ever adventure game. It was text-based and was created in the year 1976.
Colossal Cave Adventure evolved to the game Adventure, in which players would fight like in a combat game. This version was created by a programmer named Warren Robinett back in 1979.
